Segonzac, capital of the Grande Champagne vineyards, is the first city in France to be awarded as Cittaslow from the international network of towns where “quality of life is important”.
This movement, born in Italy in 1999, has adopted a set of common goals and principles to enhance quality of life for residents and visitors. Cities aim to support local businesses, foster local traditions, protect the environment, welcome visitors, and encourage active participation in community life.
Cittaslow network currently includes over 140 cities in 20 countries worldwide including Canada, Australia, the United States, Great Britain, South Korea and of course Italy.
You, too, adopt the Slow Attitude and come and relax at Le Relais de Saint Preuil, situated in the vineyards, about 3 Km from Segonzac.
